Born 18th February 1516,Mary was the only daughter born to Henry viii. Her mother was Katherine of Aragon.
When Katherine failed to bear Henry the male heir he greatly desired, Katherine was devorced!
Henry died in 1547 after 6 marriages, leaving 2 daughters, Mary and Elizabeth. And he had Edward who reigned for 6 years outlawing Catholics.
