Chapter 1
Kyla sat on her bed miserably, regretting the day ahead. All she wanted to do was stay at home doing something fun. Not going out for the day in the pouring rain. To make matters worse, she was going to visit her Auntie Janice.
See, her Auntie Janice, was the type of person who just goes on and on about boring stuff. Like last year at christmas, she wouldn't stop talking about how this guy called Jerry took her lunch one day.
You would think a subject like that wouldn't be a long thing to talk about. But somehow Auntie Janice made it possible.
Begrudgingly, Kyla got up and got dressed and went down for breakfast. Boring old, soggy eggs sat in front of her.
After around 10 minuites everyone was getting their shoes on, for the day ahead of them.

The journey had fealt so long. Longing to stretch, Kyla sat in the car despairingly. She couldn't make up her mind. Was the journey to Auntie Janice's worse then the actual meeting of Auntie Janice?
After what seemed, like a 100 hours, they finally arrived. The rain hammering hard on the windows. Pulling her hood up, Kyla opened the car door. Smiling for the first time that day, she stretched and yawned.
"I think her house number is 26." Kyla's dad said.
Mia, Kyla's little sister pointed to a house a few doors down,
"Daddy it's that one." Kyla drags her feet to no. 29.
Ding Dong. Goes the doorbell. Feet come thumping to the door, and with a chk, the door is open. Wearing a blue top with a purple dress, Auntie Janice ushers them inside.
"Good morning." she says brighlty ( maybe the shortest thing she has ever said).
"Good morning." replied dad brightly.
"Morning."muttered Kyla.

Just when she thought all hope was lost, Auntie Janice said:
" We are all going ice skating!"
Kyla thought that is so random! I can't even imagine her being on skates!
Not sure, what she should think of this day, she got her shoes on and got in the car.

Sitting on her bed, Kyla smiles as she realised that she actually had a brilliant day. After the ice skating trip, the first thing Kyla asked was: when are we seeing Auntie Janice again
"I'm so excited!" exclaimed Mia.

With a smile, Kyla hugs Auntie Janice.
"Dad can we please stay longer?"
"Sorry. We have to get home before dinner" Dad says looking surprised at Kyla's comment.

That night Kyla thinks to herself: that went way better then i excpected. I wonder what we will do next time.
